Was just checking the log files and it appears as though the last day of Feb 2007 (28th) was the best day on record for KickRSS. Stats for the day were 1517 users which is up from the month of January on the same date. No days over 2000 yet but it looks as though that may be coming soon.

I noticed quite a few new accounts appear over the past week and there is a definite pattern of keywords and phrases among many new accounts. Users are getting smart and are taking advantage of the current PR6 Page Rank on the user.php page. Some users have contacted me stating their keyword related user account names have pushed their terms higher in search engines and added 2-3 more links through to their content (XML, Styled RSS, and HTML user page) which is great to hear.

KickRSS was not designed to be a tool to improve search engine rankings but if pages are getting well indexed and visited then that is gravy now isn’t it? I’ll post a list of the top 15 phrases for February that drew in traffic to user pages later in the week.
